Location: Shaftesbury Date: September 2023-24 Services provided: Mechanical installations of new build 2-5 bedroom homes Project value: £600,000.00 Mechanical and Electrical Supply and installation of mechanical services to 55 new build homes for a national house builder. We installed gas boilers, heating services and hot and cold water, controls, drainage and rainwater collection systems, sanitary ware and brassware. The project programme was phased to first fix, second fix, and finals and involved detailed planning of trades for a smooth transition from one discipline to another. We scheduled material and labour carefully and meticulously to censure bottlenecks of trades were kept to a minimum. To ensure excellent communication, regular progress meetings were planned between site management and trades, with senior management meetings introduced at times of important deadlines. Good health and safety management on site was enhanced by regular audits by our H&S consultants to ensure levels of risk were minimised by the site management team. This was implemented via regular RAMS updates, toolbox talks and training for our operatives. To ensure all work adhered to the highest quality and standards, there were demonstrations of system testing results for each plot witnessed by NHBC. Quality Assurance carried out by our site managers at all installation stages contributed to ensuring standards where maintained. From office management to site management to trades, the South Coast Building Group team worked relentlessly to ensure this project went smoothly and safely on time and in budget.
